We are living longer. People born today will live to an average age of over 80, and even reaching 100 is no longer completely ruled out – but this prospect also brings along concerns. Will I remain healthy into old age? And will I be able to spend my final years at home?
OECD countries face the challenge of how to adapt their health and long-term care systems to enable their populations to age healthily while at the same time conserving resources for the economy as a whole.
This webinar uses solutions from various OECD countries to show how this balancing act could be achieved. It highlights measures for better prevention and adjustments to the healthcare system, as well as support for healthy ageing at home and adapting the living environment to a changing demographic composition.
